Tour the world by flower: Pennsylvania and Florida

We teamed up with Playground Parkbench for this fun flower craft series! I am originally from central Pennsylvania, and I moved to central Florida in 1990. So we decided to take on both Pennsylvania and Florida for this series!

State flower for Pennsylvania Mountain Laurel Mountain Laurel Kalmia latiflolia The State Flower is the Mountain Laurel, as enacted by the General Assembly on May 5, 1933. The mountain laurel is in full bloom in mid-June, when Pennsylvania's woodlands are filled with its distinctive pink flower.

State Flower for Florida Orange Blossom Orange Blossom Citrus sinensis The orange blossom was designated State Flower by Concurrent Resolution Nov. 15, 1909 Legislature. It is one of the most fragrant flowers in Florida. Millions of these white flowers perfume the atmosphere throughout central and south Florida during orange blossom time.

We did a fun flower craft with construction paper for each state flower!
