Meet the Light Cube

light cube

My Twins and I had the pleasure of trying out an innovative new light play product by one of my favorite companies, Roylco! It is called the Educational Light Cube and wow is it awesome and amazing! This thing is so cool!!! A must have item!!

It is seriously Awe-Mazing!!  :)

I give this product an A+++ as far as light play items go. Not only is it compact and portable but has a surprising amount of surface to play on. What's great about the light cube is that you can play on the sides of it too! You can drape play silks over the side, or whatever else you can come up with. It is a great way to play with those sticky window clings you can buy at wal mart or the dollar tree too!  You can stick them to the sides of the light cube, or the top too! It really is a very interesting and fun way to play with light! Much different than other light panels, light boxes, etc that we have experienced.

The coolest thing about the light cube is that it....wait for it.....

CHANGES COLORS!!!

The light cube comes with a remote control to change the colors and it also comes with an ac adapter to charge it at night! There are no batteries and best of all, you remove the ac adapter after it is done charging and it is totally portable! Not only does it change colors but it can fade, flash, and strobe through the colors too!!

Here are a few examples of some things we did with the light cube!
Check out the pictures and then you will find a BIG surprise of what else the light cube can do!!!! While my Twins and I were playing with the light cube, we discovered it can do even more than what the website shows it to do!!

When you turn it on the blue shades, it acts as a black light with neon colored items!!

Isn't that AWE-MAZING TOO!!!!

This is a great item for the classroom as well as at home for play or homeschool. It is also a really great way to incorporate light play and learning on the light table into playdates or homeschool co-ops.

The possibilities are endless for learning and play. The fact that you can move it around or take it with you somewhere makes it a really great item for any teacher, homeschooler, or any parent!

Don't forget......
  YOU MUST ACCESSORIZE!!!

The Light cube has a really great accessory pack too, I highly recommend purchasing the accessory pack with the light cube.  It comes with 5 clear plastic trays that fit on the top for messy play, using liquid water colors, or for water transfer activities, finger painting or painting, using markers or highlighters, playing with Epsom salts, sand, silly putty, gak, oobleck, etc.  The trays easily wash up in the sink with soap and water and they have a lip all around the edge to help to contain anything messy that you may put on it.

It also comes with some really awesome light play items:
A package of Counting and Stringing Rings, 12 Optical Illusion sheets, 2 Paint Pipettes, 2 Squiggle Pipettes, 8 clear vials, 3 Paint Scrapers, 8 Animal X-Rays, and a teacher guide.
