This was such a fun little spur of the moment project that we did!
We were looking through the art supply cabinet and stumbled across a crayola watercolor palette. The twins asked if we could paint with them, but since have lots of acrylic and tempera paint I had a better idea, turn them into liquid water colors!
I popped the paint colors out of the palette, the twins put them into our clear condiment bottles and filled them up with water. Then the fun part comes in, shaking the bottles to mix the paint with the water!! It only takes about 30 seconds of shaking to mix the paint with the water. Then they are ready for use!
Most everyone knows that when you mix vinegar and baking soda, you get a fun fizzy or volcano like result! Mixing any kind of citrus fruit with baking soda also creates a fun fizzy result! So we used lemon to make a big rainbow of lemon scented fizzies!
We took the watercolors outside with a lemon, some baking soda, and some vinegar!
