Liven up the toy kitchen
I save as many food and spice containers as I can for my twins' toy kitchen. I do not wash the empty spice bottles or food extract bottles in order to preserve the scent. I lightly wash condiment and sauce containers, but wash any cheese containers very well. My twins and their playmates really love how each container has a nice scent! The scent really adds to the element of imaginary kitchen/cooking play! So save those containers, Moms!! If you have none, ask relatives, friends, neighbors for their empty or expired spice jars!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to save old spice containers for kitchen play especially keeping the scent in them is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing on The Golden Gleam's facebook page.
I have done this too and my daughter goes nuts for it! She feels very grown-up playing with real containers!
