I soaked some yellow water beads in silly squares some purple water beads in purple highlighter water, and made some spiffy coconut scented golden glitter translucent silly putty (2 bottles gold elmers glitter glue, 1 bottle liquid starch, teaspoon of coconut extract, mix mix mix until it is all the right consistency) for some awesome St Patty's Day fun! I added in some translucent acrylic gems, shamrocks, and stars to add to the scene. Then we talked about St Patricks Day, Leprechauns. pots of gold, etc. We read a Leprechaun story book and then switched the light table on!! We did not have a Leprechaun figurine so the boys used a green turtle from their pop on pals set to stand in as the Lucky Leprechaun! I had some construction paper that I layered and laminated to be the big rainbow wall in the back. They had a lot of fun with this!!!
