Childcraft Light Table Review

School Specialty sent us their ChildCraft Light Table for review!
Click here to find the Childcraft Light Table on the School Specialty website

The Childcraft Light Table is a really nice light table, it has removable legs for floor use. You can also easily change out the light bulbs inside for the tone of light that you desire. You just simple unscrew the screws and carefully take it apart. They sell the bulbs in different tones at any wal-mart or hardware stores.

It is super easy to assemble and disassemble. You have to remove the legs to disassemble it, though they are very easily removed as well. I love that it is so versatile and can be a floor light box too!

The housing for the lights in this light table are the same as for a black light, It however does not work with black light bulbs. The top will not allow the black light to shine through very well. I tried it, and ended up removing the black light bulbs and putting white bulbs back in.

The surface space is very nice, it is considered a mini light table but is the same as the Alex Prism Light Table. It is not mini size light the Lakeshore Learning Light Table, it is very small and would be considered mini.

We love using this table for our mindscope twister tracks. :)

Why we love Draw Write Now

a review of Draw Write Now

We received a Draw Write Now set and we totally love them all!  This is such a cool book set, because kids can learn to draw as well as pick up some new words! Draw Write Now is a multi-subject book set and it incorporates reading, spelling, writing, and drawing all into one, and in a fun way! The great thing about this book set, is that you can have your kids go back and revisit each book every year and their drawings will improve! Kids can choose which book they want to start with, there is no special way to use this book set. Draw Write Now is very user friendly, grows with your child, and is even good for small homeschool groups. The books can be used for any child. This is an impressive book set, and an asset to any child whether they are homeschooled or go to school away from the home.

Draw Write Now is an eight book set which includes eight different themes:

1. On the Farm
2. Christopher Columbus
3. Native Americans
4. The Polar Regions
5. The United States
6. Animals and Habitats
7. Animals of the World part 1
8. Animals of the World part 2

You can find their website and store with all of the books individually sold or in the boxed set of 8 HERE

There are some awesome printables out there on the internet to go with the Draw Write Now books! We used the ones from 1+1+1=1, they are perfect!

I have printed the ones from Homeschool Roundup and Blessed Beyond a Doubt to try out as well! Thanks to those websites for making the printables available!

Here are some photos of my 7 year old twins using the books before bed time. They really enjoy the books! I set up the printables to go along with each page of each book in a three ring binder for them both!
